What we don't do
We don't sell your personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it to build advertising profiles. We use no advertising or tracking cookies; only at checkout may our payment processor, Stripe, set its own cookies to help prevent fraud. We never receive or store your card number.
What we collect
Your email address and age confirmation, your assessment answers and results, the activity, words, photos and reports you add on planets, your purchase and refund records, a record of the email we send you, and access logs for security.
What you control
You can download your data from your account settings, correct or delete your information or your account, and withdraw consent you have given for optional features.
Who else handles it
Stripe (United States) processes payments and sales tax, Brevo (France) sends our email, and a hosting provider stores the service's data. Section 3 of the full policy below lists them.

This policy explains what personal information 27Traits.com ("27Traits," "we") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect

We never receive or store your card number. Payments are handled by our payment processor.
2. How we use your information
We use your information only to provide and protect the service as described above. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
3. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run 27Traits, and only as needed for their work:
- Stripe, Inc. (United States): payment processing and sales tax calculation
- Brevo (France, EU): sending email
- [Hosting provider] ([country]): hosting and data storage
We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
4. How long we keep it
- Account and results: until you delete your account.
- Deleted photos: kept for 90 days, then permanently deleted. If a report about the photo is still open, we keep it until the report is resolved and delete it 90 days after that.
- Sign-in sessions: removed regularly after they expire.
- Purchase records: kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
5. Your rights and choices
You can:
- Download your data. In your account settings, you can export a file containing your results, activity, photos, and the other information we store about you.
- Correct or delete your information, or delete your account.
- Withdraw consent you've given for optional features.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as the right to know what we collect, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do neither). We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights. To make a request, use your account settings or email us at the address below. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
6. Age requirement
27Traits is for people 18 and older in the United States. We confirm your age when you sign up, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we'll delete it.
7. Cookies
We use only essential cookies, to keep you signed in and to protect against forged requests. When you check out, our payment processor, Stripe, may set its own cookies to help prevent fraud; those are governed by Stripe's privacy policy. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. If you block cookies, you won't be able to sign in.
8. Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), two-factor authentication and limited access for staff accounts, rate limiting, and access logging. We do not store payment card details.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll notify you before it takes effect.
